Points of Pride
- The Microsoft Campus Agreement is an annual, subscription licensing program that gives The University of Findlay a site license to many of Microsoft’s software products. This gives the students the opportunity to have their own licensed copy of the products they use for a very small fee ($5 / CD).
- The new Network Security Lab (Net-Sec Lab) has been upgraded for the Fall 2007 term and will expand the capabilities of classes in the areas of computer systems, information assurance and web technologies. Removable hard drives have been added to offer the added capability of developing on multiple operating systems and the use of the most current development tools.
- The UF campus has provided the technology needed for a quality computer science major. Classes are taught either in state-of-the-art computer labs or technology-enhanced classrooms. Students have access to UF’s high-speed network in the labs, dorm rooms, or through the campus wireless network. Many computer science classes utilize the labs during their class time for more hands-on training.
- Students will benefit from small computer science classes. At Findlay, experienced professors are able to offer the individual attention that students need to be successful.
- Students can qualify for area scholarships and awards. Each year the Computer Science Area awards the Ralph W. Gunnett Scholarship, the Richard W. Corner Memorial Scholarship, the Computer Science ACM Horizons Award and the Outstanding Senior in Computer Science Award.
