Information Processing Minor

WANT TO COMPLEMENT YOUR MAJOR WITH SOMETHING FUN, INTERESTING, AND USEFUL?


               Pursue a Minor in Information Processing!

Requirements consist of 21 hours as outlined below:

    * CSCI 155 - Spreadsheet Design (or ACCT 180)

     * CSCI 157- Database Applications 

     * and any 5 of the following courses:  

 
               1.  CSCI 150 - Introduction to Computers             
                     OR CSCI 148 - Educational Technology  
                2.  CSCI 151 - Word Processing
                3.  CSCI 152 - Presentation Graphics
                4.  CSCI 153 - PC Operating Systems 
                5CSCI 158 - Web Page Design
                6.  CSCI 190 - Computer Science I
 
                7.  CSCI 191 - Computer Science II 
                8.  CSCI 270 - Web Page Development 
                9.  CSCI 285 - SQL Programming
              10.  One approved course from another discipline with a
                  technology emphasis.  Current approved courses include:

                          ACCT 350 - Accounting Information Systems
                          ART 205 - Introduction to Digital Design
 
                          BUAD 390 - Business Research 
                          EDUC 260 - Technology Integration:     
                                               Instructional Strategies 

                          EQST 203 - Software Applications in Equine
                                                Business Management
 
                          SYSA 340 - Management Information Systems

Note:  Above requirements are available for ALL students, although students who entered UF under an older catalog will have a degree audit that shows old requirements.  Contact the Computer Science Area to have your minor upgraded to the current requirements shown above.
