Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Management
Oiler Environmental, Safety and Health Student Organization
The students of the environmental, safety and health programs at The University of Findlay are represented by the Oiler Environmental, Safety and Health Organization (OESHO). Membership to OESHO is open to all fulltime students. OESHO hosts a variety of activities and events during the course of the year and is the primary supporter of the William Jutte Memorial Scholarship given each year to a Junior of Senior in the undergraduate program. These events include:
Annual cleanup of the Rieck Center biological field station
Annual Blanchard River Cleanup
Annual Fear Factor challenge
Camping and hiking trips
Ski trips.
OESHO also sponsors industrial trips to view current health and safety technologies used in industry as well as hosting guest speakers to discuss current concerns in the environmental, safety and health fields as well as careers in these fields.
