Titaan's Paddock

August 24, 2009

Sunday evening we packed up, loaded onto the trailer and headed out from Lamplight Equestrian Center in Illinois.  I thought we were driving straight through back to Jersey.  Boy was I pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to a barn in the middle of the night.  Hey, I recognize that voice - it's my good friend Janet Harms!  Oh, is this the place everyone is always talking about?  So, this is The University of Findlay.  THIS IS MY HONORARY ALMA MATER; I BELONG TO THIS PLACE!  HOW COOL IS THIS!! Wow, it is really big.  This is a really nice stall.

Allison McClure?  Do you remember me?  I remember when you took care of me!  Whompie will be so excited that I saw you!  Betsy, did you know that Allison would be here?  I am sooo happy!  Bets told me all about these UF Dressage students.  She got to meet them back in April when she came out here for the 2009 IDA National Championships.  I was so jealous that I didn't get to come out here for Nationals.

Oh wow!  Look at all of the students that have come out to meet me.  Are you kidding me?  President Freed is here to welcome me to The University of Findlay!  Photo time! You know how I love to ham it up for the camera.  First, Betsy and I do some dignified poses with President Freed, Janet and Mandy.  Now we get to move over to the grassy area and hang out with the students.  The grass is very tasty.  I'm told that Anne Risser-Lee, the photographer, is the BEST!!  Oh course, I am the perfect subject to photograph.

Am I gorgeous or what?

I feel very privileged to be here.  Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome!  I promise I will make you proud.  (Actually, Betsy told me to say that last part.)

Well, back on the road heading home to New Jersey.  We have another show this weekend, so I will be back in training tomorrow.

Nickers and snort to you!!
