Hello! Welcome to The University of Findlay Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Program. The program has been made even stronger by joining with the Animal Science Program in order to increase the number of possibilities open to you after graduation. In this way, we make sure you are prepared for graduate or professional school or employment.

As in the past, you will find we offer a unique hands-on approach to prepare you for a career in veterinary medicine but also expand your options in the animal science field. Many schools talk about veterinary medicine, but we go beyond that. You will learn first hand what veterinarians do in practice from clinicians currently active in the field of veterinary medicine. You will work with animals for whom someday you will be responsible for their care. Sound exciting? You bet! You will be advised by professionals who know not only know veterinary medicine but are actively practicing in their fields. Over 60 percent of our students that apply to professional school gain admittance compared to the national average of about 33 percent. In fact, the percentage of applying University of Findlay students accepted in colleges of veterinary medicine for the Fall 2011 class is over 77 percent. Our students come from all over the country and have been accepted to all 28 veterinary schools in the United States and several international schools .
