College of Sciences
The College of Sciences (COS) offers some of the most innovative and diverse academic programs found at The University of Findlay. Home to our nationally known equestrian and pre-veterinary medicine programs, we also offer opportunities for undergraduate students to major in outstanding science programs which include biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental safety and occupational health management, health and physical education and mathematics.
Findlay provides rich learning environments to promote student learning. Students studying in the sciences benefit from the planetarium, greenhouse, 46-acre Rieck Center for Habitat Studies, Nature Center, Environmental Resource Training Center (ERTC) and many specialized laboratories. Equestrian and pre-veterinary students gain much experience from the vast resources of the 32-acre James L. Child Equestrian Complex (East Campus) which houses the English equestrian program and the 73-acre South Campus which houses the western equestrian and pre-veterinary programs.
Opportunities exist for students to interact with highly qualified faculty both in and outside the classroom. Students can further enrich their education through field experiences and internship opportunities locally.
In addition to our strong undergraduate programs, we offer a graduate level program in environmental management which is accredited by the Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC).
