career path that will allow her to focus on clinical practice with research and teaching opportunities. She is currently interning at CVS/pharmacy, Bowling Green State University student health center pharmacy and Oakland Park Independent pharmacy. One of her research projects is designed to assess asthma medication adherence; while another involves inducing cellular oxidative stress and its recovery following administration of n-acetylcysteine fatty acid derivatives. LaNikki was the recipient of the Town and Campus Scholarship and the Walgreens Diversity Achievement Award. She advises other students that, “Computers can only answer questions but not ask them.” She encourages all students not to be afraid to ask questions, no matter how insignificant or silly they may seem.

Additional comments/activities:

·        She enjoys the medicinal chemistry portion of all the classes.

·        Dr. Dudley (medicinal chemistry professor) provides material that gives students exclusive knowledge pertaining to the field of pharmacy; he is very supportive, informative and helpful to/for students.

·        LaNikki's asthma research project also includes Dr. Parker and Dr. Ernsthausen

·        She likes the way the classes are team-taught; each professor teaches their own specialty while collaborating with their colleagues.

·        Several accomplishments she is very proud of are obtaining her immunization certificate, starting Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and being on the Dean’s list every semester.

·        The administration (Karen, Anne, Lisa and Cindy) have every student’s best interest at heart.

·        The goal of SNPhA is to plan, organize, coordinate and execute programs geared toward the improvement for the health, educational, and social environment of the community.

·        Dr. Stansloski was very instrumental in her decision to come to the school.  He personally provided her with the resources to make the transitional move to Findlay.
