The College of Pharmacy Admissions Committee will select the  strongest candidates to fill any vacancies in our classes up to the start of the third year.   We typically know of any vacancies after a semester ends (late December or the beginning of June).

Selection will be based on:  

• The Interview
• The Essay
• Applications (both UF and Pharmacy)
• Academic Records (which includes test scores)  

All aspects of the above list are taken into account when selecting our students.  Letters of recommendation and PCAT scores are not considered.

For transfer students, the College of Pharmacy will call or send letters of acceptance, non-admittance, or request to be placed into a wait list depending upon time.  There is no rank order to the students placed in our wait list.  Our class size is 70 and we accept to that number.  History has shown that when we send our first offers, not all accept.  Some accepted students have even withdrawn at a later date.   

Transfer students may have a little as 2 hours to decide to accept or decline our offer.  It depends on the timing of the vacancy.  A nonrefundable enrollment deposit will be requested at that time if accepting a place in our College of Pharmacy. This enrollment deposit will be placed into the student’s UF account and will be used as an advanced payment for tuition and/or fees.
