2009 Pharmacy Camp

Our second annual Pharmacy Summer Camp was held June 29-July 1, 2009 on the campus of The University of Findlay.  High school students entering their junior or senior years were encouraged to attend our overnight camp.  They spent three days exploring topics in our professional pharmacy curriculum and how each class applies to what pharmacists do each day including: pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmacotherapeutics.  Each topic included "coursework" along with hands-on experiences and problem-solving activities.  Pharmacy Summer Camp has proven to be a great way to learn more about the profession of pharmacy and what it takes to become a pharmacist. Students also enjoyed the opportunity to explore The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy, meet faculty members and other students who shared their interest in becoming a pharmacist.
