electronic health records Symposium

On March 15, 2012 The University of Findlay's College of Health Professions hosted the first Electronic Health Records Symposium presented by the Health Informatics program.

New federal legislation provides incentives for health care providers to adopt electronic health records (EHRs) to replace outdated paper-based records.

The EHR Symposium provided attendees with a valuable opportunity to interact with experts who provided:

  • Overviews of the new legislative requirements and emerging national issues.
  • A sample project plan to enable a health care facility to "go paperless"

  • Real-world strategies to transform health care data into actionable information to improve outcomes, processes of care, patient adherence and reduce costs.
