The weekend course sequence format allows adults with busy lives, jobs, and families to pursue a graduate degree. Courses are scheduled on alternate weeks and run for six weekends, primarily fall through spring.
Some courses have an online component requiring less time on campus. The unique structure of this program has made it possible for students from other states to commute and complete their degree.
Weekend Professional Program (3 years)
The Weekend College Program is completed with pre-professional requirements and three years of professional course work including fieldwork. The weekend program is intended for the adult learner who has had one year of full-time work experience. The candidate must be either a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Non-OTA/PTA candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree and have at least one year of health care-related experience in order to apply.
A student who has already earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university must complete all of The University of Findlay’s occupational therapy program prerequisite courses before beginning the professional portion of the program.
