Psychology majors are encouraged to
find jobs or participate in volunteer work that will increase their skills in
working with people. Service learning experiences and other related
opportunities are blended into the classes.
You have the ability to choose an area of personal interest to do your work in. For example, students have done volunteer work at a local
mental health center, a domestic violence shelter, a Camp Fire office, a
homeless shelter, a human relations department of a company, an animal
shelter, a local hospital, a juvenile court, or any place that enhances
their skills and brings "real life" experiences to help them learn.
