Opportunities abound for computer science majors, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There are job increases predicted in almost all fields from 2010-2020, including:
Computer programmer - Jobs expected to increase by 12 per cent, with a 2010 median salary of $71,380 reported.
Systems analyst - Jobs expected to increase by 22 per cent, with a 2010 median income of $77,740 reported.
Information/Security Analyst/Web Developer - Jobs expected to increase by 22 per cent, with a 2010 median income of $75,660 reported.
Software developer - Jobs expected to increase by 30 per cent, with a 2010 median income of $90,530 reported.
