The computer science department sponsors a student chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) for students who are prospective computer science professionals and students who are interested in computers. Activities include regular meetings, participation in professional activities, and student-sponsored activities which promote computer science and technology at the University and wider community.
The Technology And Gaming (T.A.G.) Club hosts many
events on campus each semester, from welcome week activities to tournaments for
popular games. In addition to weekly game nights in the AMU game room, the
club members meet to discuss new technologies, plan for their events, and
participate in community service with local organizations. Go to the TAG
Info Page to join the email list to keep up to date with the latest TAG
news. The ACM student chapter provides additional opportunities
for students to gather with computer oriented people. Academic credit can be
earned for participation in this organization.
