The University of Findlay, in Findlay, Ohio USA, has a longstanding tradition of welcoming international students to its campus. Each year, we welcome over 400 new international students from over 40 different countries and territories. The University of Findlay offers both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.

The office of International Admissions and Services has seven professional staff members who are committed to excellence in serving student needs. From helping students make their first big step in studying in the United States through admissions, to guiding students in areas of immigration and work opportunities and into gaining professional experience after they graduate, we are dedicated to giving personal assistance to every student to become who they “want to be”.

The transition to an American way of life can be difficult. It is our goal to make your new life in the United States as worry free as possible. We do this by offering a new student airport pick up service, personally helping every student “check in” as they arrive and housing assistance for students wishing to live on or off campus. You’ll find our Welcome Houses a comfortable place to stay with other new students as you decide to live on The University of Findlay campus or in your own apartment. Our Orientation Sessions offered to all new students give you the information you need to know from immigration rules, to understanding the American way of life, to registering for classes and even helping you set up a new bank account!  More than just information, our Orientation Sessions are a great way to meet and make new friends that will last a lifetime.

While studying at The University of Findlay, we offer exciting opportunities for you to enjoy local attractions. Students have enjoyed taking trips to Amish Country to experience the culturally rich lifestyle of the many Amish communities in Ohio. A day full of thrills and excitement await you at the rollercoaster capital Cedar Point. Bowling, outlet mall shopping, talent shows and much more are offered to students wanting to “get away”. For those students without transportation, we offer weekly shopping trips by shuttle to the local mall and Wal-Mart to stock up on supplies. Our yearly International Night gives all students an opportunity to show their pride in their home countries to the community by displaying items from back home, singing, dancing and a taste of traditional food.

We believe studying in the United States is more than just obtaining a degree. It is an opportunity to experience life in a new country, to make friends with others from around the world and to give you life experience as well as in the classroom to be the person you were meant to be.
