Academic Programs

Through The University of Findlay's licensure programs, you can earn a teaching license at either the undergraduate or post-baccalaureate level. The post-baccalaureate program is for candidates who already hold a baccalaureate degree. Undergraduate licensure takes about 4 years. Time to complete post-baccalaureate licensure will vary by program depending upon a licensure audit of undergraduate transcripts. Some additional undergraduate content classes may be required. The graduate program offers you the opportunity to renew your teaching license and/or advance your career in the following areas:
- School Building Leader (Principal)
- School District Leader (Superintendent)
- K-12 Reading Specialist
- Technology Coordinator
- Early Education of the Handicapped (special needs preschool)
- Middle Childhood Generalist (grades 4-6 self-contained)
- Human Resource Development (HRD)
Graduate credit for district level professional development can be earned through Graduate Outreach and Partnerships.
