Foreign Language Placement Test Procedures
If you have taken two years or more of French or Spanish, you are strongly encouraged to take the foreign language placement exam. If you place sufficiently high, you will receive foreign language credits with a $60 payment per course. Notice that you are required to do Step 1 of the placement exam from home prior to your New Student Registration on campus.
STEP 1: READING, GRAMMAR, and VOCABULARY SECTION
Before coming to your Registration on campus, take the computerized section on any computer that links with the internet. To begin the exam,

When the screen asks for your ID number, type in your six digit student ID Number.
After you have taken the computerized test,
please e-mail Cathy Donovan (donovan@findlay.edu) to let her know the date you have taken the test.

two week

prior to Registration. If you can not take this section before you come to Registration, please contact Cathy Donovan.
STEP 2: LISTENING COMPREHENSION SECTION
When you come to campus for Registration, you will take the Listening Comprehension section at approximately 8:00 a.m.
STEP 3: COMPOSITION SECTION
(by invitation)
Your first two scores will determine if you will be asked to write a composition. A time will be scheduled for writing the composition. The three test scores will determine if and how many credits you will be awarded.
