Profile
Buzz holds a permanent Ohio superintendent’s certificate. He teaches EDUC 161 Teaching as a Profession at the undergraduate level and is the Educational Administration program director. He also teaches EDAD 580 (EDUC 580)The Principalship and coordinates the internship courses in the Educational Administration strand.
Before coming to The University of Findlay, Buzz worked 35 years in public education as a teacher, assistant high-school principal/athletic director, high school principal, and superintendent. Buzz is also a Praxis III Assessor and a program reviewer for the Ohio Department of Education.
Professional Activity
Buzz is a member of the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA), Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Ohio Colleges of Teacher Education Organization (OCTEO), American Association of Colleges of Teachers Education (AACTE), Kappa Delta Pi, Ohio Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (OACTE), Ohio Association of Teacher Educators (OATE), and the Ohio Council of Professors of Educational Administration (OCPEA).
Recent Publications and/or Performances
Buzz has presented at conferences for McComb Local Schools and The University of Findlay. He also has written Ohio Title I and Title VI-B Grants and a State Special Education Grant for the University of Findlay.
Dr. Dyer wrote the Educational Administration program for future School Building Leaders (Principal) and School District Leaders (Superintedent). Buzz also particpated in the NCATE program aproval process for educational leaders.
He was also a cast member of The University of Findlay's Theater Department production of Our Town.
