Scott Hayes (Chair - Department of Fine and Performing Arts, Program Director–Theatre and Multi-Age Drama/Theatre, SummerStock Artistic Director, Associate Professor) is in his seventh year as UF Theatre program director and artistic director of SummerStock and continues to run the Parable Theatre Company, a Christian theatre company.
His film/television (SAG) credits include The Pallbearer, Hidden Fears, Law and Order, and Central Park West. Hayes’ numerous theatrical credits include acting (AEA) roles in Blood Brothers, The Mousetrap, My Way-A Tribute to Frank Sinatra, The Will Rogers Follies, Misalliance, The Gifts of the Magi, and The Little Prince; as well as stage and combat directing for Carmen, The Tales of Hoffman, Of Mice and Men, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Crimes of the Heart, and Great Catherine. He has written four plays (Return to Pacific Grove, After His Heart, His Eyes of Love and Redeeming Love) and recently won the Best Short Drama award in the Christians in Theatre Arts national competition.
Scott and his wife, Sarah, are the proud parents of twin daughters, Emma and Abigail, and one-year old Eliza.
