Job Fair Candidate Information & Eligibility

Schedule for the Day:
8:00 - 9:30 a.m. - Open Fair
9:30 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. - Scheduled Interviews
12:10 - 1:00 - Lunch Break
1:00 - 3:45 - Scheduled Interviews


Employer Interview Options:
School districts who register to attend Education Expo will review candidate resumes and select candidates for interviews during the Open Fair from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Eligibility to Schedule Interviews:
Students who meet ALL of the following criteria are eligible to schedule interviews during the Education Expo Open Fair:

  1. Must have taken at least one class at one of the sponsoring colleges/universities during the 2011-2012 academic year (September 2011 - August 2012)
  2. Must plan on receiving a new licensure during the 2011-2012 academic year (September 2011 - August 2012)
  3. Must be eligible to accept new employment for the 2012-2013 academic year starting in the fall

If you do not meet one or more of the criteria listed above, then you are not eligible to sign-up for interviews during the Education Expo Open Fair. If it is determined that a candidate who is not eligible has registered for interviews, their interview schedule will be cancelled.

If you are an alum who has graduated with teacher licensure from one of the sponsoring colleges/universities at the bachelor, master or doctoral degree level, then you are eligible to attend the Open Fair held on the morning of the Job Fair from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m., turn in your resume to school districts, and request interviews for later in the day.

Instructions to Sign Up Your E-mail :

  1. Ensure you meet ALL of the eligibility criteria listed above. All candidates who preregister for Education Expo will be verified by their college/university career services staff. Anyone not meeting the criteria will be eliminated as a candidate.
  2. You must use your school e-mail address to register for Education Expo and all e-mail correspondences will be sent to your school e-mail account. If you graduated/completed your program after August 2011, but do not have a current e-mail account from your school, you will need to be approved.  
  3. Have a professional resume approved by your Career Services Center ready to upload in MS Word or PDF format. Other formats will not be accepted.
  4. Review the List of School Districts who will be attending to determine if the school districts you are interested in interviewing with are seeking your licensure area. All interviews will be scheduled at the Open Fair on the day of the EdExpo job fair. Be sure to review the employer list frequently to check for school district additions and any changes to licensure areas being recuited.

Method of Contact:

E-mail will be the method of contact for any changes or updates regarding Education Expo, so be sure to check your e-mail regularly.
