Add a Multi-Age License to your degree


A multi-age license in Ohio allows you to teach students ages 5-22.


If you already hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution then you may qualify for our post-baccalaureate licensure program.


The University of Findlay licensure programs meet Ohio licensure requirements, candidates interested in being licensed in another state need to work with that state’s department of education to determine eligibility for the other state.


​​Our multi-age licensure program offers four different content areas.

  • Multi-Age Health and Physical Education

    • Completion of Ohio Department of Education approved licensure curriculum (individual curricula dependent upon approved transferrable coursework)

    • Three-level assessments (linked to coursework)

    • The following state-required tests:  Assessment of Multi-Age (PK-12) (#004), OAE Physical Education (#034), Praxis II Health (#5511)

    • Students must maintain a 3.00 GPA and pass all three-level assessments and state-required tests to earn a Letter of Program Completion

  • Multi-Age Japanese

    • Completion of Ohio Department of Education approved licensure curriculum (individual curricula dependent upon approved transferrable coursework)

    • Three-level of assessment (linked to coursework)

    • The following state-required tests:  Assessment of Multi-Age (PK-12) (#004), ACTFL score of Intermediate/High on Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT)

    • Students must maintain a 3.00 GPA and pass all three-level assessments and state-required tests to earn a Letter of Program Completion
  • Multi-Age Spanish

    • Completion of Ohio Department of Education approved licensure curriculum (individual curricula dependent upon approved transferrable coursework)

    • Three-level assessments (linked to coursework)

    • The following state-required tests:  Assessment of Multi-Age (PK-12) (#004), OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview), WPT (Writing Proficiency Test)

    • Students must maintain a 3.00 GPA and pass all three-level assessments and state-required tests to earn a Letter of Program Completion

  • Multi-Age Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

    • Completion of Ohio Department of Education approved licensure curriculum (individual curricula dependent upon approved transferrable coursework)

    • Three-level assessments (linked to coursework)

    • The following state-required tests:  Assessment of Multi-Age (PK-12) (#004), English to Speakers of Other Languages (#021)

    • Students must maintain a ​3.00 GPA and pass all three-level assessments and state-required tests to earn a Letter of Program Completion​


  • Multi-Age Visual Arts

    • Completion of Ohio Department of Education approved licensure curriculum (individual curricula dependent upon approved transferrable coursework)

    • Three-level assessments (linked to coursework)

    • The following state-required tests:  Assessment of Multi-Age (PK-12) (#004), OAE Art (#006)

    • Students must maintain a 3.00 GPA and pass all three-level assessments and state-required tests to earn a Letter of Program Completion
