Are you an experienced teacher ready to take your skills to the next level? The College of Education is pleased to offer a new, state- approved teacher leader endorsement

Teacher leaders assist principals in developing and supporting goals for their school and provide staff development, mentoring, and coaching to teachers.

To earn the teacher leader endorsement, the following courses are necessary:
 
EDSP630:  The Leader:  Facilitator of Innovation & Strategic Management
 
EDSP632:  Evidence - Informed Decision Making
 
EDSP633:  Mentoring and Coaching Teachers
 
Courses are available online and support career-span development for educators.  The Teacher Leader Endorsement is a component of Ohio's new "Leader Professional Educator" license.

Admission criteria:
  • Submit official transcripts from all institutions.
  • Transcripts need to verify that applicant holds a bachelor’s degree and; a cumulative GPA of 2.75 /a GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hour of coursework/a graduate GPA of 3.0 in at least 9 hours of coursework for full acceptance.
  • Conditional acceptance MAY be granted to students who hold a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 hours of coursework. To be reviewed for conditional acceptance a student must also submit 3 letters of recommendation and a goal statement.
  • Submit copy of teaching license – where applicable.
