Competency Requirements
All students at The University of Findlay must demonstrate a basic level of competence (achievement) in reading and writing.
Students majoring in business administration will satisfactorily complete at least one course in any two of the following areas of instruction, plus both math courses from the selection provided below.

All students enrolling in upper‑level business courses (other than core courses) are required to:
1. Successfully complete ACCT 220 and 221 and ECON 200 and 201.
2. Meet all other prerequisites for the course(s).
Those majoring or minoring in the College of Business cannot double count a particular course as satisfying the requirements of more than one major or minor in the College of Business. This does not apply to the business core.
MARKETING (MRKT)
A major in marketing consists of ACCT 180, 220, 221; ECON 200, 201; BUAD 310, 311, 321, 350, 390, 435, 493; MRKT 326, 377, 445, 477, 480, 485; SYSA 340, 360; and FNCE 320.
An Associate of Arts degree in sales/retail management consists of the nine core courses plus MRKT 377, 445, and 480.
A minor in marketing consists of the business minor core and two of the following: MRKT 377, 445, or 480.
A certificate in sales/retail management consists of the four core courses plus MRKT 445 and 480.
