At The University of Findlay you have two collaborative options to choose from if you wish to pursue a career in nursing. One with Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio and one with Mt. Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio.
In this collaborative program, you will complete general education and pre-nursing course work during your first two years at UF. If you have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or better, you will be be eligible to apply to the Lourdes University nursing program.
The purpose of the Lourdes University bachelor of science in nursing program is to prepare professional nursing practitioners in an environment to function as generalists in a variety of settings. Through their community leadership, the quality of society's health care will be improved. The curriculum provides a general education with a foundation for lifelong learning and graduate education in nursing. Lourdes' bachelor's degree in nursing is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education.
Mount Carmel College of Nursing
Mount Carmel College of Nursing is fully accredited and holds membership in the Higher Learning Commission and the National League of Nursing.
As a pre-nursing student, you will complete general education and prerequisite course work during your first two years at The University of Findlay. If you earn a 3.0 or better GPA you will be eligible to enter the Mount Carmel College of Nursing
bachelor of science in nursing program in the summer prior to your junior year.
