Visiting Scholar program

Our 2014-2015 Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing Scholar will be Dr. Cynthia L. Selfe

The MARW program hosts a recognized scholar in the field of rhetoric and writing each year for MARW students to gain experience with teaching and writing at a deeper level within the field of rhetoric and composition.

Dr. Selfe is Distinguished Professor for the Humanities at Ohio State University and the first woman and the first English teacher ever to receive the EDUCOM Medal for innovative computer use in higher education. She is a past co-editor of Computers and Composition and co-directs OSU's annual Digital Media and Composition (DMAC) summer institute. Dr. Selfe will be spending two days with MARW graduate students during the 2014-2015 year in hands-on workshops to help them use technology in their teaching and will also provide publishing and writing tips.
