​​Graphic Design: The future is yours to design!


Our graphic design major provides a courses that are focused on visual communication skills such as:

  • Marketing and communications

  • ​Art direction


In addition to these courses, you will also have the opportunity to learn in areas that include art history, drawing and illustration, as well as programs like Adobe Creative Suite.  They provide you with a strong foundation in visual art.  Then, to showcase your skills, you will complete individualized, advanced-level work for your senior exhibition. 


As a graphic design major, you may want to add a minor in photography, marketing or communication. Or, complement your major with a minor as well. This helps to help you stand out from the competition in this highly competitive field.


Graphic design is a growing field with jobs in advertising, marketing and publishing.

Mazza Museum 

One thing that sets UF apart from other institutes is that students also have a unique resource available to them with the Mazza Museum located on campus.  With over 7,000 pieces in its collection, the Mazza is the world's largest museum devoted to literacy and the art of children's picture books. There are two conferences held per year that attract well-known artists and illustrators.
