Arch CeremonyThe University of Findlay’s annual Arch Ceremony, welcoming the Class of 2011, took place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, beginning in the Koehler Complex.
Following the welcome address by President DeBow Freed, as part of the UF tradition, students were ushered in through the Griffith Memorial Arch where they were greeted by faculty in full academic regalia.

First Day of ClassesClasses began at 7 a.m. Aug. 27 with approximately 800 new undergraduate students. Approximately 1,300 students are expected to live on campus while an equal number of students are expected to live off campus in the Findlay area.

Service ProjectsService projects originally scheduled for Aug. 25 will be rescheduled. New students, as well as faculty, staff and volunteers, will participate in service projects within the community. The service projects were canceled due to questionable conditions as a result of the flood in Findlay. UF will participate in the community-wide clean-up effort.
