2006 Band Camp

As the University enters its last stretch of summer, complete with academic and athletic camps and renovations on campus, students began returning Aug. 1 for the fall semester. The first groups of students to return to UF include the Residence Life staff and members of the football team, volleyball team, soccer teams and marching band.

New students will check in starting Aug. 22, and classes will begin at 7 a.m. Aug. 27. Nearly 800 new undergraduate students are expected.

Approximately 1,300 students are expected to live on campus while an equal number of students are expected to live off campus in the Findlay area.


Service Projects

2006 Orientation Weekend Service Project

New students, as well as faculty, staff and volunteers, will participate in service projects within the community Aug. 25. Volunteers will contribute their time to help area organizations paint, organize, clean and complete a variety of other activities.


Arch Ceremony
The University of Findlay’s annual Arch Ceremony, welcoming the Class of 2011, will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, beginning in the Koehler Complex.

Following the welcome address by President DeBow Freed, as part of the UF tradition, students are ushered in through the Griffith Memorial Arch where they are greeted by faculty in full academic regalia.
