UF Receives Scholarship of Engagement Mini-Grant

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 11, 2000 – The University of Findlay has received a $2,000 “Scholarship of Engagement” mini-grant from Ohio Campus Compact, a coalition of Ohio colleges and universities established to increase campus-wide participation in community and public service.

The grant is funded through the Corporation for National Service and provides participating institutions with funding for the development and implementation of academic courses, research projects or professional service activities that engage faculty in the community. The grant is intended to support collaborations between institutions of higher education and the community, strengthen student learning and enhance the professional development of faculty. Projects in teaching, research or professional service can be designed.

Vicki Rosebrook, director of the Marilyn and Gordon Macklin Institute for Intergenerational Studies at The University of Findlay, will administer the grant.
