UF Participates in OhioLEARNS!
Friday, January 07, 2000

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 7, 2000 – The University of Findlay is now participating in OhioLEARNS!, a statewide catalog of more than 500 distance education courses.

OhioLEARNS! is a new project of the Ohio Learning Network, a statewide consortium of public and independent colleges and universities in Ohio. To see the available courses, students can visit www.ohiolearns.org. Students who want to take classes via distance learning can scan a variety of courses ranging from accounting and business to communication, health and psychology. Students can then enroll, order textbooks and find out more information about the course or the college or university which is offering the course.

Ohio Learning Network is not a virtual university nor does it offer degrees. Instead, it offers brokering services for all the courses offered at Ohio’s colleges and universities. Ohio Learning Network also offers professional development and workforce opportunities.

For more information about The University of Findlay’s involvement in OhioLEARNS, call Doris Salis at 419-434-4600.
