UF Seeks Community Singers for Messiah Performance

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 7, 2000 – The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale seeks Findlay-area singers to participate in a complete performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m. in Central Auditorium.
More than 100 singers are needed for the chorus. A community orchestra of 40 players and eight professional soloists will round out the performance.
The UF choir meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Egner Fine Arts Center. Those community members interested in performing in Messiah are asked to attend some of these rehearsals. However, for those who are unable to attend the UF rehearsals, five special rehearsals will be held March 20, April 3, 17 and 24 and May 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Ritz Auditorium, Old Main.
A dress rehearsal will be held May 6 at 6 p.m. in Central Auditorium.
