UF Named Authorized Microsoft Certification Testing Site

Findlay, Ohio, April 13, 2000 – The University of Findlay’s Community Education and Technology Center has been named an Authorized Prometric Testing Center, allowing it to offer testing for Microsoft Certification Programs.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and A+ certification candidates are able to take their certification tests at the Community Education and Technology Center, located at 349 Trenton Ave., Findlay.

“Interest in information technology certifications is at an all-time high,” said Kathy Coppes, director of the Community Education and Technology Center. “We are thrilled to be able to offer the courses and, most importantly, these certifications to those who want and need them.”

The University of Findlay is the only location between Michigan and Columbus to offer this many Microsoft certifications, allowing it to service a wide variety of business and individuals in the northwest Ohio area.

Certification courses and pre-tests can be taken at the center or on-line through UF’s Global Campus at gcampus.findlay.edu. Certification testing is done at the center.

The center is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. For more information, call the center at 419-420-9902.
