Findlay, Ohio, April 17, 2000 – The University of Findlay and Aardvark Media Productions have been named bronze winners in the 2000 Summit Creative Awards for Aardvark’s work on the UF National Center for Excellence in Environmental Management web site.
The design work that Aardvark accomplished was driven by an effort by the University to update its NCEEM web pages because of a recent grant the program received. The web site is used to promote NCEEM’s programs as well as to transfer information to potential and current students. One of the most exciting features of the newly designed site provides potential master’s degree students the opportunity to take a demonstration course on-line. The master of environmental management degree and the bachelor’s degree completion program in environmental management will be offered totally on-line beginning this fall.
The Summit Creative Awards was created to recognize exceptional work by advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. It is the only opportunity such firms have to compete internationally.
This year’s panel of judges included individuals from Ogilvy Interactive, The Marketing Deli and Saatchi & Saatchi. Entries in 16 creative categories were judged against a stringent set of standards, and judges looked for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade.
This year’s competition had a record number of entries, more than 3,000, with participation from the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.
