UF Named One of America’s Most Wired Colleges

Findlay, Ohio, July 18, 2000 – The University of Findlay has been named one of “America’s Most Wired Colleges” in a study done by Yahoo! Internet Life and Peterson’s.
The study surveyed more than 3,600 open-enrollment accredited undergraduate two-year and four-year institutions in the United States. The University of Findlay ranked 25th in the “baccalaureate II” division of the survey.
More than 40 factors were considered in making the rankings. The factors were divided into four categories – access and infrastructure, administrative services, general resources and student support. The factors concerned such items as recent computer purchases, wired classrooms, on-line course schedules and registration, amount of web space allotted for students, library resources, the accessibility of multiple e-mail accounts, equipment for the disabled and technological support.
