Findlay, Ohio, Sept. 19, 2000 - The University of Findlay will host the 2000 Mazza Weekend Institute Friday, Nov. 17, through Saturday, Nov. 18.

The focus for the 2000 Mazza Weekend Institute is "Children's Picture Books: Windows on Humor."

The full institute fee is $95 and includes access to six keynote sessions, coffee/juice in the morning and chances to win door prizes. The scheduled keynote speakers are R.W. Alley, Tedd Arnold, Brenda Clark, Richard Egielski, Arthur Geisert and Tracey Campbell Pearson.

Graduate credit of one or two hours is available from The University of Findlay for participants at the cost of $265 per hour. Undergraduate credit of one to two hours is available from The University of Findlay for participants at the cost of $345 per hour. The basic registration fee of $95 is waived for those participating in the Institute for graduate or undergraduate credit.

An optional dinner with the guest author/artists is planned for Friday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. The cost is $16.

The Institute will accommodate 300 participants. Registration closes Nov. 1, or earlier, if the maximum participation limit is reached. No refunds will be given after Nov. 1, and there will be a $20 processing fee on all refunds.
