Fall Theatre Production Announced

Findlay, Ohio, Oct. 24, 2000 — "Theatre Evolution: From the Cave to the Stage" is the fall theatre production at The University of Findlay Nov. 8-11 at 8 p.m. in Egner Theatre.

The show will feature favorite theatre scenes from the beginning of time to the present. Classics such as "Oedipus Rex," "Tartuffe," "The Cherry Orchard" and "Romeo and Juliet" will be presented. Restoration comedy hits such as "The Importance of Being Ernest" and the contemporary spoofs of Shakespeare and "The Glass Menagerie" with "15-Minute Hamlet" and "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls" will also be featured. Contemporary liturgical drama with monologues from "People of the Passion" and musical numbers from "Showboat" and "Love Changes Everything" will be presented.

UF students and personnel featured in this production include Ikuko Ono, Josh Hilborn, Tamara Hansen, Amanda Zahler, Jill Stone, Randy Tobin, Sharinda Welton, Keith Guiterrez, Eric Hodkinson, Ben Huston, Matt Dennis, Krista White, Sarah Swiderski, Kristin Niedermeier, Rebecca Hannan, Lauren Murphy, Elizabeth Ford, Kim Olinger, Caitlin Newell, Jessica Lee, Melissa Dzeijman, Jamie Armour and Rebecca Ross.

The show is being directed by Jerry Deall and Cathy Foxhoven. Deall is designing the sets.
