Rooney Hired For Mazza Post

Findlay, Ohio, Dec. 11, 2000 — Tamera Rooney of Findlay has been named Mazza Collection development officer at The University of Findlay.
In this capacity, Rooney is responsible for cultivating and soliciting individuals and corporations for funding various Mazza Collection projects. She is also developing and coordinating funding through grants and is the Mazza liaison to The Arts Partnership of Greater Hancock County.
Most recently, Rooney worked as administrative consultant for Cancer Patient Services. She has previous experience as assistant director and administrative manager of the local Head Start Program from 1993-98, as education coordinator for Head Start from 1990-93 and as a home-based Head Start teacher from 1989-90. Rooney was director of KinderCare Learning Centers, Inc., from 1986-89 and served as a teacher with KinderCare from 1984-86.
Rooney has attended The Ohio State University and Columbus Community College. She has also attended numerous training conferences in the areas of child development and grant writing.
Currently president of Findlay Area Youtheatre, Rooney is quite active in her community. She has served on various boards and committees for the following organizations: Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Wyandot County Family and Children First Council, The Arts Partnership of Greater Hancock County, Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay Service League, Cancer Patient Services and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
