UF Seeks Research Participants

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 18, 2001 – The University of Findlay’s physical therapy program seeks participants for a research study in exercise called “Assessment of the Training Effects of the ‘Strength Cycle’ Ergometer.”
The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of a new type of exercise bike. This study has been reviewed and approved by the UF Institutional Research Review Committee.
Participants must be at least 19 years old and recreationally trained using aerobic exercise. Subjects must be willing to participate in a supervised training program for nine weeks.
The participants will benefit by receiving free comprehensive fitness testing results using state-of-the-art equipment. Results will include information on aerobic fitness, muscular strength, percent of body fat and lean muscle mass as well as a diet analysis.
