Gerstacker Awards UF $180,000 Grant

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 19, 2001 — The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation has awarded The University of Findlay a $180,000 grant, payable in increments of $36,000 per year over five years.
The grant will be used to establish a high-tech environmental resource center to support undergraduate and graduate environmental, safety and health management programs. This resource center will include items such as government codes, laws, regulations, rules, research documents, professional standards, handbooks, databases and other required documentation. Students will also have access to selected sampling and laboratory equipment. All materials will be centrally located for easy access by students.
Once a location on campus is determined, the grant funds will be used to purchase computers, sampling and laboratory equipment, software and licenses, CD-ROM databases and other documentation for use by students in UF’s environmental, safety and health management programs.
