Eleven Students Exhibit Work in Show

Findlay, Ohio, Feb. 13, 2000 — Eleven students from The University of Findlay will exhibit their artwork in the Senior Art Exhibition Feb. 19 through March 22 in the Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery, Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion.

The exhibit will feature the work of the following students: Jennifer K. Branson, Jon Gaberdiel, Matthew Olin Keller, Anne E. Petrosky, Tracelin Smithson, Olivia Susan Carroll, Erin Lynn Gee, Rhonda Meyer-Smith, Martina Kay Rostorfer, Jenifer Trottier and Jaime Wasbro.

An opening reception will be held on Feb.18 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion. The reception is open to the public.

A studio art major from Vanlue, Ohio, Jennifer K. Branson plans to pursue an additional degree in management and/or human resources.

Jon Gaberdiel of Wapakoneta, Ohio, will graduate in December of 2001. He plans to pursue a career in teaching art at the secondary level.

Matthew Olin Keller of Montpelier, Ohio, is a studio art major and is planning to attend graduate studies in a fine arts field.

Anne E. Petrosky is from Canfield, Ohio, and is graduating in May. She plans to pursue a career in the advertising and design field after graduation.

Tracelin Smithson, a college affiliate student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1999-2000, will graduate in May and plans to pursue a career in interior design.

Olivia Susan Carroll is from Urbana, Ohio. She is a pre-art therapy major and plans to obtain her master’s degree after graduation.

Graduating with a degree in photography is Erin Lynn Gee from Rocky River, Ohio. She plans to attend graduate school as well as work for a nature magazine.

A Findlay native, Rhonda Meyer-Smith will graduate in May with a degree in art education K-12. She plans to pursue a master’s degree and possibly a doctorate.

Martina Kay Rostorfer from Kenton, Ohio, is majoring in art with an emphasis in computer animation. She plans to attend graduate school before entering into the field of animation.

Jenifer Trottier of Manchester, N.H., will graduate in May with a degree in studio art. She plans to remain in the Findlay area and to eventually own and operate an equine facility.

Findlay native Jaime Wasbro is an art education major and plans to start a career in art education after graduation.

The Lea Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
