Findlay Magazine Now on UF Web site

Findlay, Ohio, March 28, 2001 — The University of Findlay’s Findlay magazine for alumni, parents and friends is now available on UF’s Web site at the following address: http://www.findlay.edu/magazine/.

The theme of the current issue of Findlay is the many facets of the University’s teacher education program. Features in this issue include articles on UF’s intergenerational studies program, graduate program in education and the use of technology in UF’s teacher education program. Other stories include a feature on the Oiler women’s hockey program and a first-hand account of a trip to Brazil by a former UF student. Findlay-area educators Barbara Meyers and Cam Taylor are also featured for their development of the award-winning curriculum for teaching third graders about one-room schoolhouses. A first-person article featuring remembrances of former Findlay area educators and graduates of then Findlay College such as Fred Crates, Alice (Stroude) Winegardner, Charles Clapper, Nellie Renninger, Paul McClure, Donna Crosby and Lillian Boyer is included.
