UF Hosts Poetry Reading

Findlay, Ohio, March 29, 2001 – In celebration of National Poetry Month, The University of Findlay’s Diane Kendig and Marianna Hofer will be reading their poetry on April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Malcolm Dining Room, located in the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion.
Kendig, an assistant professor, is author of Greatest Hits 1978-2000, and she has published two other books of poems, as well as publishing individual poems, stories, essays and reviews in numerous magazines. She has taught English at The University of Findlay since 1984. Kendig’s awards include a residency at Yaddo Artists Colony, a Fulbright in Nicaragua, a National Endowment for the Humanities Translation Fellowship and two Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist’s Grants in Poetry.
Hofer, an associate professor, is author of Barns and has published poems, stories, essays and reviews in numerous magazines. She has taught English at The University of Findlay since 1986. This past summer she had a residency at the Ragdale Artist Colony near Chicago, and she is also the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist’s Grant in Poetry.
The reading and reception are free and open to the public. Books and broadsides of the poets’ works will be available for sale.
