33rd Annual International Night Planned at UF

Findlay, Ohio, April 2, 2001 — The University of Findlay will host the 33rd Annual International Night on Friday, April 6, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex.
This year’s event will feature representatives from more than 25 countries sharing their food, history and culture. The event will feature display booths and an International Café, allowing visitors to sample cuisine from around the world.
The evening’s events will begin at 7 p.m. with an opening ceremony, which will include a parade of flags from each country represented. Following the opening ceremony, "Afternoon Tea," a Japanese ladies choir, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Students from various countries will model their traditional clothing during the International Fashion Show at 7:50 p.m. Ongoing activities will include a jump rope contest (Japan), "Taichi Quan" (China), Tae Kwon Do (Korea) and several traditional dances (China, India, Lebanon, Mexico, United States and Venezuela).
A program for area elementary and middle school children will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will be invited to visit each country represented and have their passports stamped.
The evening event is free and open to public.
