Findlay, Ohio, May 25, 2001 — The University of Findlay’s Campus Compact has been awarded a $2,000 Community Engagement Grant through the Midwest Collaboration "From Service to Citizenship" for a project titled "Elder Care Home Repair Assistance."

The Midwest Collaboration is a coalition of Campus Compacts from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.

The grant provides funding for the development and implementation of a partnership between institutions of higher education and community-based organizations. Grants are intended to support collaborations between the two groups, include students and enhance professional development. Both partners have designed the project collaboratively, which is designed to meet an identified community need.
