Findlay, Ohio, July 12, 2001 — The University of Findlay seeks community participants for its Conversation Partner Program.

Through this program, community volunteers are linked with international students in UF’s Intensive English Language Program. The goal of the program is to help these students improve their English and learn more about the American culture. Conversation partners meet with their international student at least eight times per semester, but meetings can be more frequent if schedules permit.

The Conversation Partner Program includes students with varying degrees of English proficiency. The program promotes cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication.

An introductory meeting for the program will be held Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Those from the community interested in participating in the program are asked to call Rosita Harper at 434-4835 by Aug. 17.
