Findlay, Ohio, Oct. 12, 2001 — The University of Findlay 2001 Ceramics Invitational is currently on display through Oct. 26 at the Dudley & Mary Marks Lea Gallery in the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion at The University of Findlay. The display features work from Tom Marino, Mark Nafziger and Ann Tubbs.

Marino is showing wheel-thrown pieces with dramatic glazes, including a lot of black with symbolism and references to landscape.

Nafziger, a self-employed potter, allows people to view his work in progress, from beginning to end. His pottery has been collected and exhibited throughout the country.

Tubbs’ work includes two tables decorated with mosaic tops. In addition, she is exhibiting several Maiolica pieces.

The Dudley & Mary Marks Lea Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m
