UF Theatre Program To Hold 26th Annual High School Workshop

Findlay, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2001 —The University of Findlay’s theatre program will hold its 26th annual high school workshop on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The content of the workshop is designed to introduce interested high school students and teachers to the UF theatre program. Workshops include classes in auditioning for the professional theatre, acting techniques for film and television, unarmed and armed stage combat techniques and exposure to advanced technical skills such as using foam to simulate stone and brick work and three-dimensional set painting. All the workshops involve active participation by those in attendance.

Dinner will be included, and the event will end with attendees seeing a performance of Romeo & Juliet, UF’s first show of the 2001-02 theatre season.

Cost is $5 per person, which includes participation in two workshops, dinner and admission to the show. Deadline for registration is Oct. 26. Teachers or students can call Betty Bozo, administrative assistant, at 419-434-4531 for more information or to register.
