Homeland Security Forum to be held at UF

Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 22, 2002 — The Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services will host a Homeland Security Forum on Monday, Jan. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. in The University of Findlay’s Alumni Memorial Union.
Lt. Governor Maureen O’Connor will discuss the state of Ohio Security Task Force and its current projects. Other speakers include Dr. Nick Baird from the Ohio Department of Health speaking on "Preparing for Bioterrorism," Dale Shipley from the Emergency Management Association addressing "Emergency Management Resources" and Adjunct General MG John Smith discussing "The National Guard & The Workplace."
The purpose of the Homeland Security Forums, which are being held around the state throughout January, is to increase awareness of security factors and safety needs for Ohio communities and businesses, identify resources available from state and local government and the private sector and coordinate efforts of law enforcement, government and business.
