Commemorative Stamp Presented to UF Equestrian Programs
Thursday, February 28, 2002

Findlay, Ohio, Feb. 28, 2002 — Bob Hill, Findlay postmaster, and Steve Bahn, Arlington postmaster and 1973 alumnus of The University of Findlay, presented representatives from UF’s English and western riding programs with replicas of “The Year of the Horse” commemorative stamp today.

The stamp honors the year of the horse in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year and is the 10th in the Postal Service’s award-winning Lunar New Year commemorative stamp series. Also called the Spring Festival, the traditional Chinese New Year celebrates the beginning of a new season and marks a time of renewed hope for a prosperous future.

The replicas were presented to the equestrian program in recognition of its national championships. The stamp celebrates the diversity of the workforce, the students and faculty of The University of Findlay and the United States.
