Findlay, Ohio, Feb. 7, 2002 — What was a great deal has gotten better as The University of Findlay has expanded the scope of "The Advantage," a program that offers reduced tuition to area students.
Students who enter as freshmen in the fall of 2002 will pay no more than $7,800 in tuition each year for the freshman and sophomore years, after financial aid is awarded. What makes the deal even better is that The University of Findlay will provide those students with a minimum 30 percent discount off the regular tuition rate for their junior and senior years as well. In total, that could mean a savings of more than $35,000 over four years.
Initiated two years ago, "The Advantage" offers students who graduate from any of the 86 high schools in Allen, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Lucas, Putnam, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties the opportunity to attend UF at these reduced prices.
In the last two years, more than 600 students from the nine-county area have chosen to continue their studies at UF under "The Advantage."
At a time when the average tuition at Ohio private colleges stands at nearly $15,500 per year, Findlay is committed to working with students to make their college experience more affordable.
